How do apply the concept of isnad al-hadith in our daily life?

Disciplines of isnad al-hadith that had been framed by scholars are conscientious and so neat, particularly to get the authentic and accurate hadith from Prophet SAW. If the methodology of the isnad al-hadith was used to evaluate and filter out any information other than the hadith from Prophet SAW,  the Muslims will be more competent than other people because they have their own information ethic and not inferred from any other mold from West and the Jews.

            Therefore, there are several ways that can we use to apply the concept of isnad al-hadith in our daily life which can be used by all human beings, especially Muslims. Firstly, investigate the information carrier. If you had some information about the Islam, you must use this method that had been used in isnad al-hadith. You must investigate and research about the quality of the information carrier before you use and make any justification about it. So, with this method, we can safe our dignity from exploited with media, especially, from West that want to destroy our relation of Muslims.

            Secondly, research and review the resource of information. It is because, since lately, many Muslims search the information about Islam depend to media. Especially from any website in internet, blogs and other.  Their reason is they did not have much time to follow the formal class for the Islamic education. They are busy with their work. So, they use the shortcuts to get the information about Islam. Therefore, the research and review of a resource is very important to ensure the validity of the information.

            Thirdly, the concept of dhabit (strong memory), ‘adil (fair), thiqah (trusted person) an any other characteristics that was highlighted in isnad al-hadith. These characteristics must be applied and appreciated by all the staff in media. This is because to make the all staff of media have the characteristic of honesty, trust and Muslim’s personality when they carry out their duties and deliver an information.

            Next, we must careful and strict in selecting an information. Muslims must have a cautious attitude and firmly to reject any information related to religion if it has an element of sensation, speculation and slander that is channeled through the media.  The attitude of filtering information is important by Muslim to make the enemy conspiracy by disseminating this information failed to influence the personal of Muslim. Hence, by follow the scholars, especially, members of hadith, in filtering and reject the false information, lies and slander through certain methods should be reinstated based on current interest.

            Then, describe the status or level of hadith. We as a people that learn about the hadith, we must carry the status or level of the hadith when we bring the hadith as evidence or proof when presenting an opinion or discussion.For example, as a speaker in a talk, when brought a hadith as an argument, they need to bring together matan hadith andsanad as their evidence in the talk. He must bring the authentic hadith first. But, when there is no authentic hadith, they must give notice to the audience that the hadith is dhaif or other. So, with the notice, they will not confused with the status or the level of the hadith and not get carried away the hadith maudu’  when presenting the argument or opinion to the others as well as in their daily life.

            As a conclusion, the knowledge of isnad al-hadith can be used as a powerful ethics to be practiced by Muslim in the field of information. Through this information ethics, Muslims should be able to fend off the invasion process that continues to be committed discreetly and professional by the enemies of Islam. Therefore, as a knowledgeable people, we have to ensure the validity of the information before making any speculation on it to preserve the dignity of our own religion.
