Misconception regarding hadith

Sunna is the key and also become the main sources in Islam, but the attack against it always happen and never end. They are some people who reject whole sunna with the reason that is enough just only belive with al-Quran. They are some people who just accept hadith mutawattir, but they reject hadith ahad with their own reason. The existsance of this group mention in hadith:

          There will be people who served hadith from me in it lying on his side and said “between you and us is al-Quran. What we found halal, we will allow it, and when we found it is haram, we will disallowed it, indeed forbidden by the Prophet are forbidden by Allah.

          However, should be difference wether such talk come from their stupidity or their faith. Maybe some of Muslim who talk like that because of their faithness of al-Quran, but they did not know about the meaning of something that need to be followed in Islam.  The following is a claim about hadith:

          There is no other syaria source except al-Quran. Al-Quran is more than enough to be the life guide. Religion must guided by a qat’iy source and only al-Quran has that characteristic because hadith is in dhanni. Al-Quran include all religion aspect and do not need explanations, otherwise al-Quran is the explanation to all thing.

In surah al-An’am verse 38 and surah al-Nahl verse 89 show that al-Quran wrap up all thing but only in general without detail. It is impossible to all muslim can implement their prayer and muamalat base on that general explanation. Prophet was sent to explain every single thing sent to him like explanation in verse 44 from surah al-Nahl.  That is not true about the opinion that is Prophet s.a.w was just a postman duty to deliver al-Quran.

          If someone just want take al-Quran as their guide, what about verses in al-Quran that order and show us to hold with sunna? Examples, verse 31 in surah Ali Imran that verse told about combine love to Allah with follow the Prophet s.a.w. In surah al-Hasyr verse 7, Allah told us to take all thing that come from Prophet and leave all prohibited thing.

          As a conclusion, what I want to say is, the reason why some people reject hadith is very weak and cannot be accepted because all that has been wrote in al-Quran.
